Medical Product Design & Brand Identity

For: TATU Year: 2020

Design a high-performance medical device for joint-wound care that encourages an active lifestyle. Traditional bandages often fail to function on joints due to frequent movement and skin stretching, a frustration that often leads to improper wound treatment.

Developed a bandage that features a repetitive origami-inspired folding pattern that allows it to unfold and elongate during flexion, eliminating stress on the skin and preventing peeling. The new bandage design follows the natural movement of the body, making it lightweight, long-lasting, and far more comfortable than traditional bandages. The bandage comes in 5 different sizes to fit both children and adults.

The folding and unfolding of the bandage present an opportunity to add playful details that reveal themselves during movement. This proved to improve the experience, especially for children.
